Dave’s willingness to take on a DIY project is unfortunately not matched by his ability to complete it. The house is a shrine to incompleteness. Not only are the projects unfinished, but they are unfinished to the worst possible standards. Dave is a great believer in spending as little money as possible and has a reputation amongst his friends and family as “discount Dave” the man who refuses to pay full price for anything (he’s been banned from Asda for aggressive haggling over toothpaste).

Dad loves his family but doesn’t understand them so is constantly getting himself into fixes when it comes to buying inappropriate presents, booking crap holidays and embarrassing his children by singing the wrong words to current songs.
