OFFLINE BUSINESS
It doesn’t take much to conclude that the last ten years has seen a seismic shift in the attitudes of businesses when it comes to harnessing the power of the internet, indeed I have ploughed a rich furrow in educating, creating and delivering web solutions for companies eager to take the advantage.
I have however noticed an amazing change in the attitude of business people prepared to occasionally logout and venture into the real world to “press the flesh”. The last decade has seen an amazing array of networking groups springing up all over the place catering for pretty much every whim and fancy. You can literally network from dawn to dusk (believe me I know) and choose from events as far ranging as casual business socials to membership based referral groups.
Whatever your natural flavour of networking may be it’s good to try out as many styles as you can. Quite often the best opportunities come from the unlikeliest of events and whilst you may consider yourself the smooth socialite a bit of structure and commitment may yield amazing results and vice versa.
My natural style is social yet my best results come from structure so I divide my time on a one to four ratio allowing me to create a good blend of fun and serious business generation.
I’ve collected together a bunch of business networking articles for those curious to know more about the benefits real world marketing.
